Back in June, Lenovo officially confirmed that a retro ThinkPad is in the works as it wants honor the lineup with a throwback model. The first ThinkPad business laptop was launched 25 years ago, in the October of 1992. While we have no word on the new special edition ThinkPad's specs, we have learned that it will be based on an existing model, the ThinkPad T470.
This was confirmed by the certification website, while another the Chinese Notebook-forum 51nb.com posted a picture that shows the special edition ThinkPad 25. Only a small part of the chassis is shown, where we can see the fingerprint scanner the special-edition ThinkPad logo.
