Google Safe Browsing Protects 3bn Devices

Google's Safe Browsing features are now helping 3 billion devices avoid malicious links and phishing. The Safe Browsing service launched in 2007 and is used by browsers, ISPs, and Google's various products to keep people safe. Google announced it was protecting 2 billion devices in May 2016.
A large portion of the new devices are mobile. To serve those users, Google has had to make adjustments to account for low battery status and slow connections. Safe Browsing minimizes data usage by compressing data "as tightly as possible" and only sending vital info.
