Just weeks after finally launching the Essential PH-1 smartphone, the company has now confirmed that they are already working on a first major software upgrade. Android 8.0 Oreo is already making its way to Pixel and Nexus devices, and it is about to reach the Essential PH-1.
Essential has confirmed on Twitter that the Android 8.0 Oreo update will soon be available. The exact timeframe isn't revealed, but hopefully there won't be any delays like it was with the smartphone, which was delayed a few weeks. We'll keep you posted.
