Delphi's upcoming autonomous driving platform, which will be made available to car manufacturers starting in 2019, is going to use BlackBerry QNX as its operating system. Their partnership was announced by Delphi this week.
BlackBerry has been working in the area of infotainment systems for years, though it's been transitioning to place a greater emphasis on software that'll support autonomous vehicles. BlackBerry's solution has also already been certified as offering a high level of safety.
The Delphi autonomous driving platform can be easily adopted by manufacturers to give their vehicles self-driving capabilities.
