Like Google, Bing now has a fact-checking label that'll help searchers figure out whether a story is legitimate or not. The search engine is relying on sites likes Snopes and PolitiFact to inform users. These labels should help reduce the spread of fake news.
Discussing the feature in a blog post, Microsoft said it'll "help users find fact checking information on news, and with major stories and webpages within the Bing search results."
A feature that's similar to Bing's was introduced by Google in April. That search engine's Search and News sections also have a fact-checking label that relies on Snopes and PolitiFact.
