Despite encountering some difficulties and bad publicity in recent months, Uber continues to grow, as shown by its latest earnings report. This week, the company announced gross bookings increased 17% during the second quarter compared to the first. And its losses declined 14% to $645 million, with a total revenue figure of $1.75 billion.
Part of its rise in revenue came from an increase in booking fees. In the US and Canada, Uber increases those fees by $0.15 to $0.50 per ride, giving it more guaranteed revenue per trip.
