Microsoft has seemingly revealed plans for an iPad Touch Cover. The still unannounced product was mentioned in a document on Microsoft's Download Center. It appears Microsoft accidentally confirmed the existence of an iPad version of the product, which has so far been available for Surface devices.
The product is registered as the iPad Touch Cover 1719 and it includes a lithium battery. Given the inclusion of a battery, it shouldn't drain the connected iPad's power.
The filing discovered in Microsoft's documents was a registration to the International Civil Aviation Organization and International Air Transport Association, indicating we could see the product relatively soon.
