As the solar industry grows, more existing companies are moving into it and one of the latest to make that move is Ikea. The retailer is now going to sell solar panels and batteries to customers in the UK. Solar battery storage will begin around $3,970, enabling people to store energy for later use.
On average, Ikea says a UK home will use about 40% of the energy it collects from solar panels. The rest will then be sold back to the National Grid, adding more solar-sourced power to the grid.
You can use the home batteries in combination with your existing solar panels or you can buy a panel + storage system package.
