Apple Working On Autonomous Shuttle Service For Employees

Apple will put its autonomous vehicle technology to work with a shuttle service for employees located near its campuses, reports The New York Times. The autonomous shuttle system would bring people between Apple's current campus in California and its new one.
Software created by Apple will run inside a car from another vehicle manufacturer. Apple isn't making its own car.
The service is known as PAIL (Palo Alto to Infinite Loop). Apple already has the necessary permit for testing autonomous vehicles in California, enabling it to move forward with plans like this.
