Twitter Reports Quarterly Decline In US Monthly Users

Twitter's user engagement figures aren't headed in the right direction. During the second quarter, the social network saw a decline in the number of monthly active users in the US. Revenue also fell by 5% compared to the previous quarter and the overall active user metric was stagnant at 328 million.
A shareholder letter from the company reveals Twitter's monthly active user count in the US was 68 million during Q2, down from 70 million.
If you look at year-on-year performance, the global user count was up 5% and daily active usage was up 12%, but the quarter-to-quarter performance isn't what Twitter's shareholders want.
