When Samsung announced the flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the company also introduced the Exynos 8895 chipset, the first member of the Exynos 9-series. The first true Exynos 9 chipset has now leaked online, alongside a mid-range Exynos 7885.
The Exynos 9610 will be manufactured using a 10nm node, making it the first Exynos chipset to use 10nm process. The chipset packs an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at 2.4 GHz. Although we expected to see the new G72 GPU, it features a revised Mali-G71. Since this isn't the flagship chipset, expect some high-end specs from the Exynos 9810.
As for the Exynos 7885, Samsung will use a 14nm process with two Cortex-A73 cores and six Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at 2.1 GHz. It will also have a Mali-G71 GPU, and is rumoured to power the Galaxy A7 (2018).
