Twitter can continue pushing forward its lawsuit over the legality of gag orders that prevent companies like itself from telling users when their data has been covered by surveillance orders. A judge ruled the government didn't show evidence of a "clear and present danger" associated with sharing that kind of information with users.

It originally filed this lawsuit in 2014. Twitter hopes to solidify First Amendment protections in this area by getting rid of gag orders attached to surveillance requests.
A hearing in the case has been scheduled for next month.
