Intel Gives Up On Single-Board Computer Market

I doubt there are a lot of people that occasionally read IT news and have never heard about the Raspberry Pi, which is the most popular single-board computer at the moment. On the other hand, there are a lot of similar products and even Intel tried to enter the market with its own single-board computers.
Unfortunately, it looks like the company canceled its developer kit lineup as well as several of its Recon Jet smart glasses. This means we won't see successors to Intel's Edison, Joule and Galileo compute modules.
Intel Galileo was a direct competitor to Raspberry Pi, Edison was a smaller development kit with a size of an SD card, while Joule was Intel's most powerful compute module. All three modules will stop shipping by the end of 2017.
