Google Reportedly Stops Development Of Andromeda OS

Work on the Andromeda OS project within Google has reportedly ceased. The operating system was going to run across phones, tablets, and laptops. Google's plan was to create a new piece of software that'd basically let Chrome OS and Android merge.
Multiple sources have told 9to5Google that the company "shelved" Andromeda. Hardware that was going to run the operating system has also been set aside.
So yeah, got a second source on this now: Andromeda was shelved. Some of the work being moved to other things, though. Trying to learn more.

9to5Google reports a separate project known as Fuchsia is now Andromeda's "spiritual successor" and is continuing. Fuchsia is also supposedly going to run across phones, tablets, and laptops. It'll be built from the ground up as an entirely new platform rather than a merge of Android and Chrome OS.
