Facebook appears to be creating an app for teenagers. Code found within the main social network app points to the existence of Talk, a chat app for young people. You may be able to use the app without even having a Facebook account.
Some of the feature included with the platform are the ability to "play games" and "share fun masks with family and friends."
One aspect parents may like, while the users could dislike, is the existence of parental controls.
The code alludes to parent-centric features for filtering who teens can talk to, saying "Talk is a messaging app where you fully control the contacts." Another line in the code states that children will talk to parents in Messenger.- The Information
