Uber Underpaid NYC Drivers For 3 Years

Uber drivers located in New York City didn't receive their full pay from the company for close to three years. That mistake collectively cost drivers millions of dollars, Uber admitted this week.
During the past 2.5 years, Uber says it "mistakenly" made its cut of ride totals higher than it was supposed to. It was calculating its 25% cut before taxes instead of on the after-tax total.
We made a mistake and we are committed to making it right by paying every driver every penny they are owed, plus interest, as quickly as possible,- Rachel Holt, Uber
Uber's driver agreement from November 2014 clearly outlines how the company's share is supposed to be calculated.
Drivers are going to receive around $45 million from the company. On average, users will get $900 each.
