Autonomous vehicles created by Toyota will be based on Nvidia's Drive PX system. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, announced during the company's GPU Technology Conference that the automaker had decided to use the PX at the core of its self-driving cars.
No release date was available, but Huang said engineers from Nvidia are working with Toyota to create a vehicle that'll be offered in the "next few years."
This will be the architecture of their future production cars.- Huang
Among the features already enabled by the PX system is an autopilot mode that can control a vehicle's operations in many situations.
