Samsung Might Not Be The Only Source For Future iPhone OLEDs

LG wants to produce OLED displays for future iPhone models in order to keep Samsung from being Apple's sole supplier. ET News reports the company is investing $3.56 billion in one of its factories to prepare itself for OLED requests from Apple.
The investment will help the factory shift its production away from TV OLED panels and towards panels for handsets. LG imagines itself becoming a secondary supplier for Apple, which will give it a large reliable order each year.
Many rumors indicate the iPhone 8 will use an OLED display and the entire iPhone line could make the switch in the coming years.
