The majority of Americans over the age of 13 can be described as gamers, according to a report from Nielsen. Its 2017 report on the gaming market found 64% of people in the US could be considered "gamers" in 2016, up from 63% in 2015.
While consoles are very popular, a lot of those gamers are classified as such due to playing mobile games.
46% of gamers only used one device during the time period, rising from 42%. And the percentage who play on two devices fell from 40% to 38%.
