A security flaw present in enterprise products has been patched by Intel after nearly a decade. The firmware upgrade for enterprise PCs deals with a security hole present in Active Management Technology, Standard Manageability, and Small Business Technology. Those are within Intel's processor features for enterprise systems.
Because of the vulnerability, malicious groups could have hijacked PCs connected to a network. Security experts with SemiAccurate explained, "every Intel platform from Nehalam to Kaby Lake has a remotely exploitable security hole." Nehalam launched in 2008.
The security hole has affected various computers over the years and the fix still must be released by computer manufacturers.
