Facebook Attracts A Quarter Of The Global Population Per Month

A quarter of the world's population is now using Facebook at least once per month. The company's Q1 earnings report revealed it now has 1.94 billion users each month and it also reported a net profit of $3 billion, which is up 76% year-on-year.
With its current user count, Facebook has experienced a 17% increase since the first quarter of 2016. The majority of the interactions are now believed to be taking place on mobile.
Facebook had $8 billion in revenue during the quarter, which was up 49% over Q1 2016.
