Facebook's livestreaming has largely been devoid of any gaming content, but that's beginning to change. The social network is going to become home to livestreams of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive events. ESL, a major eSports company, has signed a deal with Facebook.
Under the agreement, Facebook will begin offering streams in six languages. The content is based around the Rank S Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event. Facebook is receiving 5,500 hours of content, 1,500 hours of which will be exclusive to the platform.
An original 30-minute series looking at highlights and discussing players will be streamed on Facebook Live.
These streams kick off in June.
