Apple is trying to find someone to lead its push into original content and one name that's shown up is Michael Lombardo, former president of programming at HBO. The Informationreports Apple met with Lombardo earlier in 2017.
Reports claim Apple wants to offer original content and it'll presumably need a programming lead as part of that initiative. Lombardo could be high on the list of potential candidates.
He was in charge of programming for eight years and he only left HBO last year. Lombardo helped launch hit series like Game of Thrones.
