Amazon is now offering free shipping on orders that cost at least $25, allowing it to undercut Walmart's $35 offer. The free shipping requirement is only in place for non-Prime users since a Prime subscription comes with free two-day shipping on most orders.
Walmart introduced a no-membership $35 free two-day shipping option in January. When that happened, Amazon initially brought down its requirement from $49 to $35.
As one of its few potential competitors in the US, Walmart's decision can impact Amazon's business. Amazon's latest requirement change comes after Walmart introduced discounts on orders when they're picked up.
