Verizon is also interested in setting up a live TV streaming service, reports Bloomberg. The company may come out with its service as early as this summer. Recent reports have also claimed Comcast is considering a streaming TV option.
Based on this report, Verizon is further along in the process than Comcast. Its new offering won't be a replacement for FiOS TV or go90, which is more like YouTube than Sling TV.
It's at least known CBS has extended its contract with Verizon, which includes rights for "future digital platforms." It's therefore likely CBS content would be included.
