Direct messages with businesses on Twitter can now use location sharing. The social network has added the ability for brands to request and share location data. An example of this feature in action is having a wireless subscriber send their phone's location to a carrier when they're having trouble.
Once the customer service representative receives permission to accept your location data, they can personalize your assistance, including by directing you to a local store.
The feature is set up so that businesses can ask users to share their location through the click of a button.
