True Tone Displays Could Reach iPhones This Year

Apple's 2017 iPhones could offer True Tone displays. Barclays has released a report claiming the display technology will be offered in iPhones for the first time this year. It appeared in the 9.7-inch iPad Pro in 2016.
True Tone will be offered on the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8 (iPhone Edition).
The feature offers a noticeable improvement in display functionality. It enables a display to adapt based on the ambiance of the room.
[The feature] uses advanced four-channel ambient light sensors to automatically adapt the color and intensity of the display to match the light in your environment. Which means reading is more natural and comfortable — almost like looking at a sheet of paper.- Apple
