One In Five Facebook Videos Are Live

Facebook's livestreaming push has worked out well. The social network says 1 in 5 videos on the site are streams and the amount of time spent watching Live content had quadrupled in a year. Those stats were shared by Fidji Simo, Facebook's head of video.
The company has heavily invested in boosting the use of livestreaming and those investments appear to have successfully altered user behavior.
One way Facebook tried to change the use of its livestreaming capabilities was by spending tens of millions of dollars on getting media companies and celebrities to hold streams.
