If you have been looking for more variety beyond the standard grey or red and blue version of the console, then this new color option might be for you. The company has now announced a new Neon Yellow Joy-Con variant as well as a Joy-Con battery strap.
The new Joy-Cons will launch alongside Arms, which is scheduled for June 16. As for the battery pack, it attaches to the back of the Joy-Con and will keep the controllers powered by 2x AA batteries. What is the idea behind this is unclear as the Joy-Con controllers rely on internal battery power when attached to the Switch's tablet screen or when docked into the standard controller grip.
