Microsoft To Bring Tabs On Windows 10 With Redstone 4 Update

Windows 10 Creators Update is now rolling out, but it will take some time before it reaches all users. In the meantime, Microsoft has started working on new features and improvements that will be included in the next major update, and one of those new features is now detailed.
According to a new report, Microsoft is working on a project called Tabbed Shell. The idea behind the project is to bring tabs for all apps in Windows 10, be they apps published in the Windows Store or Win32 software. The good thing is that developers won't be required to make any changes as tabs would become available in any window running on Windows 10 system.
One of the first apps that would get the support would be File Explorer. Some will like the idea behind the tabs, while others won't, so hopefully there will be an option to enable or disable the feature.
