Samsung's first attempt at digital voice assistant is not going as expected. According to a statement provided today to Axios, Samsung confirmed that Bixby Voice would not be available on the Galaxy S8 at launch. Instead, it will launch in the United States later this spring. No exact release date was revealed.
Some of the Bixby features will be available when the Galaxy S8 and S8+ start shipping, such as Home, Reminder, and Vision. Most likely the reason behind delay is because the Bixby Voice needs some extra polishing before reaching customers.
