Acer Triton 700 Features Unreleased NVIDIA GPU

Acer's latest high-end laptop was unveiled two days ago and from what we could see, it will definitely be the one to beat. The Triton 700 features the latest high-end hardware, including Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 10-series graphics. We thought that the GPU would be either GTX 1070 or GTX 1080, but it looks like the laptop feature unannounced NVIDIA GPU.
According to the folks at NotebookCheck, laptop is powered by the GTX 1080 Max-Q. The chip is reportedly set to be released at Computex in June. Unfortunately, the new GPU isn't faster, but more efficient, requiring less power and cooling. The official specifications are not yet available and we can't say for sure what to expect from the GTX 1080 Max-Q, but the notebook will go on sale in August and that is when we'll definitely know more about the new GPU.
