Travis Kalanick Apologizes For Arguing With Driver

Adding to Uber's stressful early 2017, a video appeared this week of CEO Travis Kalanick arguing with a longtime driver about declining fares. The video was released by Bloomberg and it shows Kalanick going back-and-forth with driver Fawzi Kamel.
Kalanick at times uses obscenities and appears to dismiss the complaints from Kamel. He says during the video that the driver should "take responsibility" for his problems.
The CEO has sent out an apology.
To say that I am ashamed is an extreme understatement. My job as your leader is to lead, and that starts with behaving in a way that makes us all proud. That is not what I did, and it cannot be explained away.- Kalanick
Uber has contacted Kamel and is hoping he can come in to have a discussion with Kalanick, who says he's going to seek leadership counsel.
