Blizzard is coming out with a remastered version of StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War later this year. The re-release, known as StarCraft: Remastered, comes with improved visuals. Both the campaign and multiplayer mode have been updated for "4K UHD" resolution.
Included with StarCraft: Remastered are "re-recorded and rejuvenated" versions of the game's original soundtrack and dialogue.

The game also offers "advanced matchmaking; full connectivity to Blizzard's gaming network for social features and updates; cloud saving for campaign progress, custom maps, replays, and keybinds."
It'll be out this summer for Mac and PC.
