Nintendo has implemented some pretty strict controls to prevent people from sharing eShop content. Anything you digitally purchase is tied to your Nintendo Account and your active console. If you want to switch consoles, you must manually disconnect from your current one.
This means downloading a game on more than one machine isn't possible, unlike with Xbox and PlayStation.
It's also not currently possible to disconnect a Switch from your Nintendo Account remotely if you happen to lose your console.
A system of this sort stands apart from others that let people use multiple systems and even share game saves over the cloud between them.
