LeEco is trying to acquire Vizio for $2 billion, but movement towards closing the deal has reportedly "stalled." Media reports in China claim the deal isn't progressing because of domestic restrictions on transferring capital overseas from China.
No confirmation has come from LeEco, which continues to say the "deal is pending regulatory approval."
The acquisition was announced last year and there were concerns about its status earlier in 2017 when Vizio was found to have collected viewing data.
It's not known when the China-based LeEco is planning to close the deal.
