Adoption rate of new Android Nougat platform has been really slow and that is one of the key issues with the Android platform. If users don't have the latest flagship smartphone, they are waiting for the update for months and even then, the update comes with bugs.
As for those that have such phone, or Nexus/Pixel from Google, expect to receive a new update from the company. According to latest reports, the Android 7.1.2 Nougat is expected to start rolling out to Nexus and Pixel devices on April 3. The update is mostly "an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements," including "bug fixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users."
