Uber Exec Resigns, Failed To Disclose Sexual Harassment Issues From Former Google Job

Uber has lost its senior vice president of engineering, Amit Singhal, due to his failure to disclose sexual harassment allegations from his time at Google. He was asked to resign by Uber CEO Travis Kalanick in the wake of sexual harassment allegations affecting the transportation company.
Singhal's past was revealed by Recode's Kara Swisher.
Before he was employed at Uber, Singhal went through standard background checks, but the allegations from his time at Google were never brought up.
Singhal was a top executive at Google for years and oversaw its search engine. He was accused of harassment by a female employee in 2015 and has continued to deny the allegations.
