Project Scorpio isn't going to swoop in and replace the Xbox One, Microsoft has assured consumers. Xbox boss Phil Spencer says the Xbox One and Xbox One S will be supported for a long time to come even though there will end up being a more advanced console on the market.

Spencer responded to someone who said they heard the Xbox One will be treated as obsolete once Scorpio is available. He confirmed that's definitely not the case.
The upcoming console is going to cost more than the Xbox One and is meant to be a higher-end complement to the current lineup.
