Grand Theft Auto 5 has shipped 75 million copies in the three years it's been available. Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive revealed the milestone in an investor release. The last shipment update in November 2016 placed the game at 70 million units.
Around 5 million copies were shipped in the October-December 2016 quarter and 15 million were shipped in the past year.
GTA 5's performance has surpassed expectations in "every quarter" since its release, says Take-Two. The game originally launched on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013.
Despite it being a few years old, GTA 5's digital and physical sales made it the sixth best-selling game in the US last year, according to NPD.
