Counter-Strike Event Sets New Twitch Record At Over 1 Million Concurrent Viewers

Game streaming site Twitch has reached a new record for current viewers of a single stream. A Counter-Strike: Global Offensive match reached 1.026 million current viewers on Sunday. The match was hosted on ELeague's Twitch channel.
The match was part of the 10th CS:Go Major grand finals. Virtus.pro was competing against Astralis. The highest number of viewers was recorded right after Astralis won and was holding up the ELeague Major trophy.
Here goes the million smashing the previous single channel record of 890k viewers. 
Twitch's prior record was 890,000 concurrent viewers.

ELeague's match was also broadcast on TBS. Numbers for the television broadcast haven't been released.
