Apple May Use China's BOE For 2018 iPhone's OLED Display

Some OLED displays for next year's iPhone might be sourced from BOE Technology Group, a Chinese company. Bloomberg reports Apple is figuring out how to ensure it has enough OLED displays available for a large-scale shift away from LCD.
Apple has been testing BOE's displays for at least six months and is still deciding whether to use it as a supplier. Since discussions are ongoing, BOE won't be used for this year's iPhone models.
BOE is one of the largest display makers in China and it recently spent $14.5 billion on two AMOLED factories.
It's been reported Samsung will be the exclusive provider of OLED displays for iPhones this year. LG, Sharp, and Japan Display will be among the suppliers next year.
