ZTE To Fire Around 3,000 Employees In 2017

ZTE's employees might not have the best 2017 as the company plans to restructure its operations and organizational structure. According to a new report, the company is planning to cut 5% of its global workforce following a poor financial 2016. The majority of the layoffs will affect Chinese employees, where around 20% of the total workforce is located.
This means that out of its 60,000 global workforces, around 3,000 people will lose their jobs. The report also mentions that employees who have applied for jobs at rival companies will be the first on the list. The whole restructure expected to be completed by the end of March.
