Samsung Introduces EV Battery Offering 300 Miles Of Range From 20 Minutes Of Charging

Samsung's battery subsidiary, SDI, has introduced an electric vehicle battery that enables a car to travel up to 310 miles on a 20-minute quick charge. When filling up entirely, the battery has an improved density that offers up to a 372-mile range.
The new battery model was introduced at the North American International Auto Show.
Compared to existing Samsung SDI batteries, this model provides a 10% decline in the number of required units and required weight per vehicle.
Samsung isn't going to begin mass production of the battery until 2021, at which point they may be used in autonomous electric vehicles.
