Samsung Galaxy S7 Running At 1080p Resolution After Nougat Update

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were running at Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) resolution by default, but after rolling out the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update, users have been complaining that their smartphone's display is running at Full HD resolution.
The company confirmed the reports, saying the phone is running at 1080p to improve battery life. If you rather want Quad HD resolution, don't worry as Samsung allows you to change default resolution. Simply head over to Settings, tap on the Menu and choose to switch back to Quad HD resolution and the resolution will remain like that even after you reboot your phone.
