NSA Now Allowed To Share Unfiltered Surveillance Data With Other Agencies

Just ahead of the new presidential administration, outgoing president Barack Obama has enabled the NSA to expand its data sharing. The controversial decision allows the NSA to share raw surveillance data with the US' 16 other intelligence organizations.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch signed the new regulations on January 3. Among the organizations that'll have access to raw data are the army, navy, CIA, and FBI.
Previously the NSA would filter information so that an agency would only receive the exact data deemed relevant to their request. Now the agencies will essentially have access to whatever the NSA collects with its dragnet programs.
The justification for this change is that the agencies may find other bits of relevant data that would have previously been filtered out.
