Mobile sales in the US were dominated by Apple's iPhones during the three months ending November 2016, reports Kantar Worldpanel. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were in the lead and the older iPhone 6s was the third most popular phone.
Apple received a 31.3% share of the market with those three handsets. Samsung, despite having more products on the market, had a 28.9% share during the period.
Globally, Kantar reports Android experienced year-over-year declines in the US, UK, and France. Meanwhile iOS "continued to make gains in most regions."
Even though Android dropped, its market share was still 55.6% in the US.
