Faraday Future Reveals FF 91 Electric Vehicle, Emphasizes Performance

Faraday Future has revealed its first production vehicle, the FF 91, and it has a significant emphasis on performance. It offers a 378-mile range with its 130 kWh battery and it has 1,050 horsepower. The FF 91 can go from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.39 seconds, meaning it'll allegedly beat Tesla's Model S.
How these specs translate to real-world performance is less clear. Faraday Future is struggling financially, has lost some of its executives, and hasn't proven it's capable of delivering on promises.
It includes multiple modems for connectivity and it has a facial recognition system that lets users unlock without a key. Cameras in the FF 91 can recognize who is in the vehicle and adjust the temperature, seat position, and other settings accordingly.
The FF 91 will ship with advanced driving assistance features, like the Tesla's vehicles. It uses LIDAR and other sensors to "correct driving decisions." One of its features, Driverless Valet, lets the car park itself when you exit the vehicle. While Faraday Future demonstrated this in a video, a test of it failed at CES.
You can reserve the car with a refundable $5,000 purchase. The vehicle will ship next year.
