Facebook Begins Letting Pages Stream From Desktop

Livestreaming from desktop is now rolling out to Pages on Facebook. The feature has been in testing since September and it's headed out to more users now. Not everyone is receiving the desktop streaming feature initially.
Pages can stream using peripheral and built-in cameras. That may lead to an easier production of higher-quality content and a generally superior ease of use.
Facebook has also introduced some other Live features. One allows Pages to select "contributors" from the network who can livestream on behalf of the Page. And there will be more analytics available for profiles with over 5,000 followers.
Pages can more easily direct people to their live content using a new permalink URL. That link will send people to current live content and also let them see previous live clips.
