Three new iPads are likely to launch between April and June of this year. KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a good reputation in this field, expects the lineup to include an upgraded 12.9-inch iPad Pro and a new 10 to 10.5-inch model.
Both of those units are going to use an A10X chipset. The third iPad, which is said to be 9.7-inches, will use a modified A9.
It's believed the 9.7-inch model could correspond to an iPad Air 3. Kuo says its lower specs and presumably better price will make it the most popular member of the bunch.
